HD 100 Problems--Slow reponse after a few minutes
I reinstalled Sage over the weekend on a new HTPC/fresh Vista install. Prior to rebuilding the HTPC, both HD 100 extenders worked perfectly.
My HD100's are both intermittently acting up--very slow response times and random lock-ups. I have increased the Java Heap size on the server and enabled the hardware cache options mentioned on other HD 100 "sluggish reponse" threads. Firmware is current released on the HD 100 (not sure of the number, but I updated both extenders yesterday). Sage is v 6.6
When I first boot the extenders, the menus are very responsive and tuning the 1st channel or two is very quick. Then it dramatically slows down. Remote Commands can take a full 10 seconds (not exagerating) to respond. Same with stopping a live tv showing.
Another "symptom" is that when it is sluggish, the audio from a live tv or recorded show will start 1st, then +/- 8-10 secnds later, then audio drops out, and then the picture and audio starts again.
The new server is a dedicated Core i7 HTPC with 3 GB RAM. My house is a gig-e network (all extenders are connected via a cat6 cable--not wifi). I am running 2 HDHR boxes (4 tuners) and a single HDPVR.
Everything on the server is working perfectly (when I watch through the server). I either have a network issue or a server issue--and since nothing in the network has changed since the server rebuild, I am guessing server.
The only "downgrade" to the server was my previous motherboard had 2 gig-e network connections (both used), the new one only has a single gig-e network connection (but I cannot believe a single gig-e connection would not be enough).
Any ideas on where I can start troubleshoointg?
