decoder properties

I am fairly new to this and have an epia m10000 i have tried the intervideo hauppauge video and audio decoders with v2 and am currently trying the powerdvd ones although the audio is out of sync with these, but I think the video looks sharper, is there any way to view the decoders properties within sage ie, seeing as i have an epia m10000 I need to see if hardware accel is enabled, is this possible or am i confused?

cheers

no it is not possible from Sage, Either change the settings in PowerDVD (They will also be applied to sage), or use the graphedit tool to insert the decoder filter into the graph and then access it's properties.

The easy way to see is look at your CPU utilization. If its 45% to 70%, its enabled.

Or attempt to use VMR9 -- on an M10000, VMR9 does not support Hardware decoding, so one of 2 things will happen:
IF HW decoding is enabled: When playing back MPEG you will get a failure message (could not connect...)
IF HW decoding is not enabled: video will be played back at an incredibly low quality at about 5 frames per second and CPU usage will be 100%...

why not use the intervideo decoder for audio and powerDVD for picture
I like mode D with BOB and Weave
overlay using 3d acceleration
the best picture quality I have seen so far
better than cineplayer in my opihion
but like they said you can use VMR 9 but with 3d acceleration
and it looks pretty good
Also try different audio renders
I found using the cyberlink render for audio caused problems with ff and rewind
try using your sound card for rendering

On the epia boards m10000 I believe it comes with a version of Cyberlink designed for that board to take advantage of hardware mpeg-2 decoder built-in on the motherboard to offload from the cpu any intense graphics and give smooth playback.

so are you saying that you got VMR9 and 3d acceleration to work with the cyberlink decoder(non ATI)?
or what are you saying?
