Background, no interface: help?
My computer is running SageTV 6, and serves two MediaMVP boxes in other rooms. I don't use the PC directly very often. I noticed recently that the SageTV interface on the PC is showing nothing except the swirly blue background: no menus. Pressing Home doesn't help. The interfaces on the MediaMVP boxes are fine.
If I disable Sage service, the problem goes away. But I do want to run it as a service. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you! |

It could be something in the sageclient.properties file that SageTV doesn't like. Move the sageclient.properties and all of the backups to a safe place and startup the client and see if that helps. If not, enable the debug logging for both the SageTV Service and the SageTV Client. That might give an indication of what's hanging it up. Are you running the SageTV Service under the default LocalSystem account or did you configure it to use another user account? In the past, the only time I've seen SageTV Client hang like this on the server is when I set the service up to use a user account instead of the default LocalSystem account. I never did find out what caused that.
