stuttered playback in HDTV
I just got a HDHOMERUN using QAM cable. I got it working basically fine but I am having trouble with watching live HD and playing back HD.
While watching HD, it seems to have the machines over loaded. If I hit the fast forward or rewind, it takes a while for it to work. Adjusting volume takes a while to kick in, and during playback the little circular arrow that seems to indicate some sort of progress goes on for no reason. I am thinking that either my server or my client is over loaded or moving slowly. Playback is better directly on my server but worse over the network to my client or placeshifter. I did a lan tester program and the speed from the server to my client came in at 70-75 Mbps Is this a common problem? What do you suggest to test and fix? ps. I had (past tense) a couple of dvico HDTV 5 cards doing ota with the same issues, so it isnt the HDhomerun. Last edited by Homebuilder; 08-30-2009 at 12:23 AM.
