Did you turn on the option on your Sage server to serve extenders?

word of warning, if you decide to continue use of WHS after the trial you need to get a licensed copy and re-install WHS, along with sage and all. It's quite annoying, if I new this then I would have simply upgraded asap once I was sure I wanted to stick with WHS and got to far into it tweaking wise.
WHS trial -> WHS OEM is not simply tyoing in a key, they are 2 different things all together.

Correct. But you can keep the pool and just do a new installation and setup Sage and drivers again. The new install will see the pool without losing it.

Oh right I should have added that... however there seems to something odd about the OEM, it has slight issues that the trial version doesnt. Many people have had install issues, myself included, that the trial doesn't. I had to install a couple times before it would all go in nicely.
There is no correction that I have found for it.
