USB cable tuner - hauppauge wintv 1950
Can anyone recommend a good USB cable tuner for analog cable channels that works well with sagetv? Thanks!
Looks like the wintv 1950 would do the trick. Any experiences from anyone using it with cable right out of the wall? Is it pretty reliable? I'd like to have my QAM channels plus the analog extended channles. Last edited by rubell; 08-24-2009 at 08:48 AM. Reason: Info |

I like my Hauppauge 950Qs. Good for analog, digital and QAM with STV. A little slower tuning than my HDHR and I don't think the 'signal strength' info is as accurate, but sometimes records the same show better than the HDHR.

Is the 950q hardware encoding for analog?

I have an hdhr but it doesn't receive analog cable from what I can tell.
