Volume step non linear
hi everyone ,
i'm resetuping my sage tv on a new Eee pc Asrock Ion 330-bd and i'm having some issues with the volume in sage 6.6.2.218. My control over the volume is non linear. meaning that at mid volume bar it's like if the volume was muted after that 2 or 3 volume step on the remote bring it at max. Can someone help me ? thanks |

Exactly. i've been looking for some kind of volume control stepping but i've found nothing. I also changed the audio source but it does make a big difference.

anybody figure this out?
I just rebuilt my server and am having the same problem. Below 50%, there is no sound sent to windows (per the indicator in the windows volume slider), and from 50-100% is where all the adjustment takes place. I've tried all the audio renderers and decoders to no avail. Adjusting the windows volume slider is linear from 0-100% so I know that windows can adjust the volume properly, Sage can't. edit: I found this, If I set the following to true, media_player_uses_system_volume=true , then volume control works properly in Sage. I'll see how that works long term.

well, setting media_player_uses_system_volume= to true isn't gonna work.
With that, I don't have control over the volume on some videos. If Sage used Mplayer to render the video, the volume control doesn't adjust the output of Mplayer. I guess I'll fire off a support ticket.

unfortunatly not. I bypassed the problem by having the volume at max and using my Logitech Z-5500 for volume control with my universal remote
