remove padding feature not working

Well here is my problem
I have a favorite of Everybody Loves Raymond First Run
and it was not recorded this evening
I have the remove padding when recording back to back favorites
I want to have the padding but not when conflicting with other shows
I have not removed the padding to all shows to solve the problem
I am pretty sure the padding on the beginning of South Park stopped Raymond from being recorded since it is higher in the Favorites List
I have tried to keep up the conflicts to the best of my ability but most seem to be from padding ......
I had an update today of recording schedule and was unable to see it before it was too late ........ no Raymond
I feel 3 days is ridiculously short, it should be at least 2 weeks and could be shorten if needed!
I think the remove padding feature should work as well though
I would like the padding when it is available but want to keep my shows as well
If padding is the conflict Sage should resolve this
not make me do two manual recording for every padding problem!
Really not that mad about Raymond, LOL
Just would like a fix.

Quick fix: get another tuner.

I take you you have forced Sage to record the padding and throw conflicts by making that properties file change? By default it would have removed the padding and recorded all your shows that it needed to. With one tuner this is probably just how it will work.

Wasn't trying to be a d**k. That was a quick fix. Here's the property change from release notes of .13.

22. Added property "remove_padding_on_back_to_back_favorites". It defaults to true; if set to false padding will not be removed when Favorites are back-to-back on the same channel (which'll cause conflicts unless you have multiple tuners).

Back to back on same channel with one tuner looks to me to be problemsome. The quickest fix I can see is adding a tuner or remove the padding. By default it is now set to remove the padding. If this doesn't work add a tuner. Or set it to false so you get a conflict and manually fix it.

I believe that when True Sage does automatically remove the padding from favorites when it needs to. No? Setting it to False is the only way to force Sage to record the padding - which would lead to conflicts.

No I have remove padding on back to back recordings and I constantly got conflicts until I manually removed the padding
I have not installed 2.015
but will try it now
no recording scheduler for a little while.......
remove_padding_on_back_to_back_favorites=true
just checked and it is not working
it was scheduling based on my favorites list and not removing the padding

Well since there is no way of getting another 15 pvr 250, will a 350 behave well with it since thay are the seem chipset?

Make sure you submit that as a bug. That is not how it used to work. If you remember we used to complain that there was no way to force Sage to KEEP the padding. The old way may have been broken. Defiantly make sure it still does not work in .15 though. It may have been fixed.

I figure there are problems but could be wrong
anyways, well since there is no way of getting another 15 pvr 250, will a 350 behave well with it since thay are the seem chipset?
