Sage audio file problem

I just finshed building my new WHS box and formatted by drive pool hdds to 64k cluster size. I bought the HD-PVR device and have been successful recording live cable TV using the ARcsoft software, and streaming the file over the network for playback on other client computers. I then downloaded the WHS server trial version of SageTV and a client version for my office desktop to test the UI and playback capabilities of the software. (I want to fully test the setup before investing in the software and a pair of HD200 extenders). I haven't even tried recording TV using Sage yet, but am already having problems simply playing files from my digital media library.
I request assistance from the forum to solve my first Sage software glitch. I am sure that I will have many other questions in the future -- but one problem at a time.

I had ripped a library of 250 CDs several years ago and just transferred them into the shared music directory of the server. I configured Sage to import music from this directory. For some reason, Sage sees 2 file versions of each music track: a .m4a file that plays correctly, and a .wma file that does not. The wma file always gives a PlaybackException ERROR (-5,0x004618) message. There is no way of knowing which file version is which unless I go into the song details screen (sometimes it is the first, sometimes the second listed). I cannot use shuffle or continuous play because the music stops whenever the error is encountered.

The strange thing is that I only have one .wma version of each track in that directory. I have tried changing the Audio renderer and audio filters in the Audio/Video section of the Details screen, but to no avail. This may be a simple directory problem but I am already stumped.

Any help out there for a frustrated noob?

I figured on the directory problem -- I hadn't looked closely enough at the file structure. There was a separate iTunes file path hidden among the 250 album folders. The iTunes folder contains m4a duplicates of every album and song I had previously ripped (it must be an automatic thing that iTunes does when you use it to help organize your files to place on an iPOD). I guess that the standard audio renderer options do not play standard wma files? I tried several of the choices but will keep fiddling with the settings and directory structure until I get it working.
