question about the messages received here
Is it possible to have an email sent when someone responds to a question or thread of your choosing? If it is possible, I haven't been able to find out where to program that.

In your "User CP" (at the top of every page), you can "Edit Options" and choose to receive email by default as the subscription mode.
For individual topics, you can choose the "Thread Subscription" on the page where you write the reply. (You can't do that in the Quick Reply box where you read the posts.) - Andy
