Removing Content
How does one remove content from SageMC? I had a videos directory, and had scanned that directory using BMT (Importing as TV for TV Shows). No combination of removing the Import Directory from SageTV, forcing full reindexes by Sage, rerunning the scanner seems to remove them from the "My TV" part of SageMC..
Is there a step I missed or some combination of steps that results in clearing all Metadata and program information? |

Sage will not remove content from the library, unless it sees the content no longer in it's previous location. Simply removing the import folder will not remove those items. Instead, you should more the files out of that import folder, let sage see the import folder WITHOUT them in it, and it will remove them upon reindex.
Sage does not remove them if the import itself disappears, to prevent losing information if you, for instance, have a drive inaccessible/removed temporarily.

If you're 100% sure that...
a) Sage can currently see all the recording you care about b) Everything it can't see you want completely removed from wiz.bin You can do an extreme purge of wiz.bin by shutting Sage down, BACKING UP YOUR WIZ.BIN, and setting the following two properties... seeker/disable_root_path_existence_check=true advanced_video_file_recovery=true Then when you start Sage again, any recording/imported video it can't see will be purged from wiz.bin completely. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Then, once its done, shut down Sage and go back to the .properties file and ensure that those settings are set back to false. I just did this the other day to clear out some phantom recordings that I lost in a drive failure last year. |
