Removing Sage
I began the install of sage on my ubuntu box with the deb installer when i realized that I needed an activation code (which i dont have). I couldnt kill the process, and eventually rebooted. Now I can't enter my operating system because upon loading it askes for the sage activation.
So... how can I either kill the command or tell ubuntu not to load sagetv so that I can finally get back in? Hope that made sense, thanks all! |

dpkg -r pkgname
The script to run is likely in /etc/rc.local. B

I had something similar happen (well, exact same thing).
When it got to the point of asking about the license, I pressed Alt+F2 and logged on to that console. I then did a "ps -ef | grep sage" and kill the process number that it had listed in the previous command. Ubuntu came right up. I then uninstalled SageTV. |
