SageTV/HTPC Podcast Suggestions

I know a guy who is working to put together either a SageTV or general HTPC podcast - one that is not specific to Microsoft MC. And this guy is looking for suggestions of people you would like to have as regular "team members" of that podcast. The concept would be a rotating cast of "regulars" on a podcast with one other guy who would co-host and do the behind-the-scenes work of running a podcast.

He originally wanted me to be a full-time guy along with him, but I just don't have the time to do it week after week. I could do it on more of a rotating schedule though if others would participate also. This is in the concept stages & might not happen but I thought I'd ask the following:

1. Is there any interest in such a podcast?
2. Who would you like to hear as a regular (not necessarily each week but on a rotating schedule) on the podcast?
3. If you would like to participate let me know - no guarantees but we can try
4. Any suggestions for stuff you'd like to hear/see? Format suggestions etc?

Again, this is not a for-sure thing - just gauging interest at this point.

I'd be interesting in listening to such a podcast.

I really liked the piece you did with Jeff about the sagetv history and future. It was a good read, so something like that as a podcast would have been sweet.

In terms of format, I think that something like twit and diggnation works well. Something informal.

I realize that a podcast (audio) is probably easier to do, but given that this is "TV" it would be good to have the occasional vidcast as well, (unless podcast is used to include both audio and video these days).

I've considered video - it's tougher, but I totally agree it would make more sense because you could easily play it on any SageTV setup. We'll have to see

I'd love to hear another podcast about HTPC's that isn't always centered on WMC, but it doesn't seem like there is ever really enough advancement/topics to cover. I could be wrong, and wouldn't mind being proved wrong.

I'd listen, and would be interested in discussions of configuration, integration with various hardware (e.g. extenders, usb-uirt, various tuners, stbs), qam tuning, and nifty things you didn't know you could do with Sage.

I'd definitely listen and I hope you can get guys like EP, Babgvant, and Brent to participate. I'd love to hear more from them and their take on the world. It would also be neat to hear a discussion on commercial detection involving both Jere for SA and Erik of comskip.

My preference is audio only, unless you're doing PQ reviews there isn't much value in video. I usually only listen to the video podcasts because of that.
