Missed show 3 times

I have American Hot rod as a favorite recording first runs only. I looked late last night and it hadn't recorded the new episode. I figured it was on 2 more times at 1:00am and 1:00pm it would grab one of them.

It didn't. Completely missed all three of them.
I check the "data" on the show and it lists it as a first run and not already watched.

If you have seen the specific episode, it won't record that ever again. (unless you hit record on it by hand)

I haven't seen it thats the point. It didn't record it the first time, thats the big problem.

What do you mean? What info are you looking for?

This may be unrelated, but I've noticed in .14 that all my first run/rerun flags are missing. Now I'm using a different EPG update than you guys, but I wonder if you are seeing first run/rerun flags in your detailed descriptions - because if you're not, maybe this could explain why it missed recording....

In the upcoming list of recordings Sage was planning on making was it in that list?

I had the same problem. I had assumed that the Favorites were overriden by IR, but perhaps it was just missed due to potential problem in Favorites.

I've posted a bug report in the bug forum.

Interesting. I do recall seeing a post about manually recorded shows overwritting/defeating favorites. I wouldn't think that would be the case for me but I guess anything is possible.

For your future reference to watch for whether this is still happening... yes, a manual recording would override the favorite. But, since it missed the show each time it was on, you would have had to had a manual recording conflicting at each time. Also, the favorite could have been skipped due to other favorites with higher priorities (they have higher #s in the favs list) being scheduled for those same times. IR should not have overridden your favorite. I don't use much LiveTV, so I don't remember what would happen if you had LiveTV playing the whole time, but I think it would have changed the channel & recorded the show.

Looking through your recordings, were there things recorded during the times this show was missed?

To see if you have scheduling conflicts, check for an icon near the top of the main menu screen, or go to Schedule Recordings -> Recording Information to see a list of conflicts. (That screen ought to be renamed...)

Finally, I looked at the American Hot Rod listings & saw that the episodes seemed to be listed slightly differently. I wonder if they were different enough to cause your fav setting to miss this one?

If none of these explanantions fit your situations, file a bug report.
