Source / Service Confusion....help

Ok folks..somebody please help me sort this out..

I'm totally confused with the digital tuners/digital service/channel line-up etc... when i press guide i have many channels twice many have no Data, etc..it's a total mess..

Here is my situation, I have:
- Comcast Cable service Digital Started Package. This came with a single SD Digital Cable STB.
- SageTV installed and it's been working fine...

Originally I only had a Hauppage PVR-500 (Dual SD tuner) of which one tuner was tuning the cable direct and the other tuner was taking S-Video/Audio out from the Comcast STB (control via USB-UIRT)...life was good at that point.

Then I realized I had the HD Extenders, I have an HD TV and presumably I can tune some of the unencrypted HD channels that come over the cable without actually paying for any HD service.

SageTV also seems to hang sometimes when it tries to download the local digital channel lineup...

So i bought the Hauppage HVR-2250 (dual tuner). I can defintely get 'some' HD channels...about 20 or so i guess ..most or garbage informercial...they may not actually be HD, but they are just digital i think (channel number format xx-x instead of just xx).

So with the above total of 4 tuners, Comcast Basic Extended Digital (non HD) service, Comcast STB... how do i get some sort of coherent setup going here.

When using a 'Digital Tuner' on the 2250, do i need to select '[City Name] - Comcast Digital Service from the SageTV cable service menu?

I still want to be able to watch some of the high number channels ..like 139 (Country Music Channel which the wife likes, etc) so i think i will always still need the Comcast STB for that right since those channels are encrypted?

I get confused when Sage asks me if i want to copy the channel line-up, etc...

Some basic questions:
- Will the tuners on the 2250 when used in digital mode be able to tune digital channels only or digital and analog? When use the channel setup are and using the preview..on the 2250 used in digital i'm able to receive 'some' of the normal number channels and all of the digital channels xx-x. Something is odd though since channel 39 when tuner through the 2250 is not 'LIFE' channel but some spanish channel.. When in the lineup view i enabled channel 7 which was not 'scanned' it say WABC, but actually is FOX HD.. what the hell is going on here? Then there's a bunch of channel that are mostly black but have the same video stream twice on the same screen (2 different sizes).. then if i only use a single digital tuner, the non used channels still appear in the guide..and some of the channel that appear fine have 'no data'..

Also does anybody know if the 2250 has the same memory limit issue the PVR-500 had? I had to remove 2 GB of ram from my server to make the PVR-500 work..it apparently has a 3GB RAM limit.

SageTV also seems to hang when it tries to download the digital channel lineup..sometimes it works..sometimes it doesn't. I run SageMC skin..but that shouldnt matter right?
