480i over HDMI - HD200 output not standard?

I am trying to use the native resolution switching in the HD200 to take advantage of the video scalar in my AVR for 480i sources. But I'm running into a snag - the AVR doesn't seem to recognize the 480i output from the HD200's HDMI. It can handle 480i over HDMI from my DVD player so there is not a problem with the AVR. However, with the HD200 sometimes I can a blip of the audio initially but then always no video. The HDMI info on the AVR does not recognize the "bits per pixel" value for the HD200 output if that helps at all. Any ideas?

Try adding the following to the extender_resolution_extra_modes line in the properties file for your extender:
720x480i|Standard\=HDMI_480i59

Thanks for the suggestion but I still don't get any video. When I play a 1080i program it works fine and the AVR reports Color Space: YCbCr 4:4:4, Pixel Depth: 8bit. When I try a 480i program it reports Color Space: YCbCr 4:2:2, Pixel Depth: --- and I get no video. When I play 480i from my DVD player it reports RGB 4:4:4 for the Color Space and it works fine.

You could try Standard\=NTSC_M

Oh, and you might want/have to disable 480i in the config if you want to use the custom one, or at least to be sure which one you're using.

Thanks for your help. Disabling 480i in the config worked. However, it is pretty inconsistent. That is, sometimes I have to play multiple times before I get video (play, stop, play the same video again). Other times this doesn't work and I have to "resync"/reselect the AVR input to get video (audio always seems to work now). This is fine for me to do but unfortunately will be hard to explain to family members.
