sagetv on server 2008

Can someone provide information for getting sagetv working on windows 2008 with analog tuners. I have a hvr-1600 and it will see the digital tuner, but it will not recognize the analog inputs. I have tried the information from the below post but have not been successful getting it to show the analog tuners

Thanks.

Not the answer you're looking for, but is there a specific NON-Sage reason you need to run Windows Server 2008? Windows 2003 works great.

what seems to go wrong during the bda install? Did you import the registry keys that was posted here and www.msfn.org site ? once you imported those keys the analog will show up in Sage.

just don't forget to reboot after the reg import.

Far as windows 2008 is concerns, its a lot better at serving out Sage network traffic, while handling many other functions/roles at the same time. Hyper-v can be your friend (at least for me it is)

a good all in one package was posted here

I want to run server 2008 so that I can run some other services on that machine as well as my sagetv.

Motofreak75 I tried the registry install and that did not make the analog cards show up in sagetv. I also tried the all in install but still do not get the analog portion of the tuners to show up? I have read the forum you are talking about and see someone has it working but for some reason cannot. I can get the digital tuners to work fine, but they do not broadcast that many channels on Cox cable as the analog tuners did. The only difference was I did not have a windows vista machine to copy the info from and used a windows 7 machine, wonder if that had something to do with it. Maybe I will try a clean reinstall and copy from vista.
