HDHR + Live TV = No Signal

Hey I don't watch live tv that often so this isn't a huge problem but I still want to get it fixed. My HDHR records just fine, but when I try to watch something live, I get a "No Signal" error. Loading the same channel in the channel set up will eventually work after showing no signal for a few seconds. It seems like there is a bit of a delay before the stream starts coming.

Is there any setting in the properties for it to wait after the tuning request before trying to display the stream?

I searched but didn't find anything.

delay_to_wait_after_tuning?

Mine is working just fine. You might want to try few things first. 1) get the latest firmware beta2 driver. Also update your sage to the latest and try re-scanning. you will be surprise to find out that your local cable provider changed their line up, that is if you are using cable and not antenna.

I had similar problems after updating firmware in my HDHR. It simply would not work in my configuration. I was getting the same "no signal" problems as you. I reverted back to 20081001 firmware then deleted both tuners in Sage. I rescanned all channels, made sure the channel number matched the channel lineup number, then opened Sage and added both tuners back in. Everything has been OK after that.

I'm pretty recent on all my firmware and software. As mentioned, for scheduled recordings everything is fine. Its just when trying to do live tv. HDHR setup works fine with VLC and it doesn't seem to be a lineup thing. Almost like it needs another second or two before it will lock on for live TV.

Since the latest sage beta is a release candidate I'm inclined to wait for the full release.

Ill look into beta firmware for silicon dust, but usually just update when the software notifies me.
