HELP - My Channels went Missing... Recan does not work

Device: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1600 TV Tuner with QAM support.
OS: Windows XP Pro
Source: Timewarner Cable

I recently moved to SageTV after reading good reviews since my WinTV application kept crashing.

SageTV worked awesome, it also found all QAM channels on scanning and I could watch/record them with ease. I am not using Sage's EPG. I recently rescanned SageTV for channels and it caused the issue... now it does not find any channel. I seem to have lost all the channels. I am perplexed and heart broken.

I have rescanned many times. Also tried to delete the input device and re-add it and then rescan... but nothing seem to work.

BTW, WinTV still works and shows all channels and I can watch them, so I know the feed is working fine.

Please advice...

It could be the switchover to digital. Charter switched to digital and finally piped HD to my neighborhood last night. My channels are all screwed up but I have the info from the tech to fix it.

You may have lost your free channels completely. Call your provider or plug a tv directly into the cable feed and see what the tv picks up.

I recall seeing some beta notes about patches to resolve channel scanning. Lastly, you should also send this in the the support folks via email too.
