Recordings don't show up until restart...
I just noticed some weird behaviour in 2.0.14. My recordings never show up in Sage Recordings, until I restart SageTV.
They are recorded on the harddrive and I can watch them by selecting them in the TV Guide, but they won't show up in Sage Recordings. So far the only way I can get them there is by restarting SageTV, which is really annoying. Should I report this as a bug? Anybody else sees this? |

I recorded South Park and after it was done, checked Sage Recording and it was listed there. Also, the show that I'm currently watching is showing up in the Sage Recordings as well...

Yep, I can confirm that all my recordings are showing up as they should. Might be time for a reinstall ikarus79m!

I also had this problem in 2.0.14. It only happens with some recordings. However, I can make them show up in Sage Recordings by cycling through the display options (with the yellow button on the silver Hauppauge remote). I sent a bug report on it, but anyone else who notices this should file a bug report as well.
I did a reinstall and it hasn't happened since; it has only been about 10 hours though. I have also been having a prolem with Sage leaving certian recordings on my hard drive but removing them from Sage Recordings totally, even after a restart. |

The fact that you see them in some Sage Recordings view, are you aware that there are some grouping views (shows with the same title are put in a folder) so you would see one entry for several shows? Can you specify which views they do and do not show up for? Last edited by mlbdude; 03-26-2004 at 05:35 AM. |

I am familiar with the behavior to which you are referring. That isn't what I am experiencing. These files have been on my hard drive for a long time (several days) and never get deleted. Also, they never have showed up on my Sage Recordings list. They are mostly shows I marked as don't like while they were recording or closed sage while they were recording, so most of them aren't complete shows.
As far as the other issue goes, this has nothing to do with putting shows in a folder together. For example, I had 4 Law & Order: SVU episodes. When I went there the first time it only listed two of them (this is in the 1 column view with individual shows grouped into folders). I had to cycle through all the views back to the one I was originally at, at which point all four episodes showed up. After that all my recordings will usually show up on all the views. Sometimes certain recordings don’t show up on the two column view (with or without preview) at all, even with a restart. The behavior has continued after the reinstall. This install was a clean install for version 2.0.14. |
