How do system error messages work?

How do system error messages work?

Ok, so now we have some system messages. I have seen 4 so far:

Yellow Halt Detected in Recording

Red Halt Detected in Recording

Red Recording Missed Due to Device Failure

Blue Recording Missed due to Conflict

So, what is the difference between Red and Yellow Halt Detected in Recording? (Maybe the number of misses?) Any way to make them all yellow?

Are there any other potential messages, or is this it for now?

It seems to me that if you erase all of the error messages it should automatically remove the flag (or at least ask).
