Cloned system drive, now playback error
This is a weird one . . . my Windows XP main drive was starting to go bad, so I bought a new drive, cloned and swapped, rebooted, and now when I try to play recorded files in SageTV I get
There was a Playback Error in playback. Details: sage.PlayBackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217) There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback. I did not monkey with my video recordings drive, just my C: drive. I can make new recordings, but cannot play back the new or old ones. The standard advice seems to be to change the video decoder but that didn't help (nor would I expect it to in this case). Any other suggestions? Thanks, Lee |

That error code is a graph-building error, and generally indicates a missing or incompatible codec. Have you tried reinstalling, or doing a System Restore to some point before your disk trouble started?
