video loses integrity in playback

We recently upgraded to Sage 6.5.9.204. Since the upgrade, if we're recording and watching a show and it ends, so the next show on that channel starts up just after the next one starts the video gets all weird - sort of like the horizontal tuning on old TVs is messed up. You can tell that the right colors are there and so forth, but it's completely unviewable. The fix is to hit the Stop button and start up again - then it's fine until the next show ends.

I should say this doesn't happen all the time, but pretty often.

Any recommendations?

KWasden, you are not alone.

I recently setup a new laptop with SageTV and have encountered the same problem. The video sometimes changes to a garbled mess when one program ends and another starts. I am able to recreate the problem consistently when I try to fast forward or rewind while watching TV: it always becomes garbled. Nothing crashes, you can continue to hear the sound and the video continues playing, but it is unwatchable.

Sadly, as everything is new (new laptop, new tv-tuner (DigitalNow TinyTwin), new sagetv version), its hard to pin down a cause.

If it helps anybody, I'm running SageTV on Vista 64bit with an ATI HD4570 and using the EVR renderer.
