HD-PVR Hiccups When Live TV Transitions to New Show

I have had a few problems with the HD-PVR since I bought it, but ultimately resolved most of them. I am working my way through the "annoying but livable" ticks in the system.

Currently, Live TV plays and records perfectly in sage, but I experience hiccups when an old show ends and a new one begins. It is obviously starting and stopping the recording process, but still is a pain. Any ideas?

My setup is as follows.

Vista x64
8 Gigs of Memory
4 GHz Core Duo
ATI 3650 Card w/ gig of on board memory

I have that too, everybody does.

What is happening is sage is ending one recording and beginning another or saving one file and creating/opening a new one.

I don't think there is a way around it.

That is what I figured. Shame that there is no work around.

Somewhat annoying, but manageable.

Yeah, that happens for every Sage user as far as I know. It's Sage's fault for not using a buffered recording system. It makes their software seem almost archaic . I wonder if they'll come up with a new system for version 7.
It is the most annoying part of Sage, especially when you have visitors over.

Nothing, that's just how it is... And you usually end up missing a few seconds of the show because of it.

Wouldn't be as annoying if it paused playback while it transitioned. Currently when recording from a HDPRV, I get like 5 seconds of stuttered audio. Drives my wife crazy.

Does anyone know if this occurs with all tv tuner cards or just the HD-PVR??

It occurs on all tuners if watching LiveTV. It's just what happens when a new recording is initiated.

For me it's worse with the HDPVR's then it is with my HDHR's because of the 4 second wait before recording that is set on my HDPVR's.
