Cannot get Right Codec to work in Sage

Outside of Sage I can get the right filters/codecs to work with the file type I am playing (MKV in this example). But in Sage it must be using the Sage codecs instead because the icons of the codecs do not show up in the Task Bar during Sage playback.

My Sage.properties has the following:
always_use_dshow_player=true
videoframe/aac_audio_decoder_filter=CoreAAC Audio Decoder
videoframe/h264_video_decoder_filter=CoreAVC Video Decoder
videoframe/additional_audio_filters=
videoframe/additional_video_filters=

and I have no idea why this one is set to a Sage decoder:
videoframe/video_decoder_filter=SageTV MPEG Video Decoder

Sage settings has
H.264 Video Decoder Filter = CoreAVC Video Decoder
MPEG4 Playback = DirectShow
All other settings set to Default

Any help on this?

Thanks,
AWS

Actually, I don't think CoreAVC's tray icon always shows up. I might be wrong on that. But, a more foolproof way of checking which decoder is being used is to enable logging, try playing back a H.264 file, and then looking in the log to see what decoder was usd.

Have you used something like GraphEdit to make sure the default h.264 codec is CoreAVC. Just run it and see if CoreAVC comes up when you open a file with it. It is also a good way to see if playback problems are Sage or something else in your setup.

Also:
Where did you find this? "CoreAAC Audio Decoder". My CoreAVC setup doesn't install an audio codec.
