Comskip and SageTV client

My setup consists of a Sage server, a SageTV client, an HD extender, and a regular extender.

I have comskip running on my server and have the comskip stvi on all my clients.

My 2 extenders work great with comskip, it shows the commercials on the time line, shows the CS logo when browsing the recorded shows and skips them while playing.

My SageTV client running on a PC does NOT show any commercials in the timeline and doesn't show the CS logo and of course, doesn't skip commercials.
In the setup menu, I have all the options for comskip, it just doesn't seem to work.

Is there a trick to get it to work with a client, or is there a problem with comskip and SageTV client?

Thanks for any input.

I also had this issue, and fixed it by using UNC paths for recordings. For example if you are using the following directories on your server for recordings:

1) C:\Recordings1
2) d:\Recordings2

Simply share those folders from within windows. Then inside of sage set the recordings directories to \\<Name of your server>\share1 and \\<name of your server>\share2

This worked for me without any problems. I am pretty sure there is more than one way to do this....Ill look to see if i can find the previous post on this topic for you.

Hope that helps
~Mike

Thanks for the quick reply.
I thought it might have something to do with the comskip plugin needing direct access to the txt files.
Since the extender's directories are basically on the server, they can find the files.

Thanks for the help.
