Question about animation layers
I was wondering if anyone here knows how Sage determines the z-order of animation layers.
The relative order of BG, Focus, and Foreground layers is obvious, but what if I am using additional layers named "Rye", "Ham", "Swiss", and "Mayonnaise"? How does sage determine where to insert layer "Mayonnaise" into the stack? (which reminds me, I'm getting hungry) Up to now I've used trial and error, but I'm getting tired to going through that, especially since I'm working with more complex animations now. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Aloha, Mike

They are drawn alphabetically -- that's on p. 129 of the Studio manual, part of the core-based animation tutorial.

Thanks Andy.I went through the tutorials back when I first started playing with studio in 2006. I never bothered to go back and look again for updates. Guess I should go back to see what else I've missed... Aloha, Mike

I am going to add a question to this what is the best way to animate multiple panel widgets that overlap each other? is it best to have them on seperate layers or the same?

I try not to have animated areas overlap. I think you will be better off if they are on separate layers, but you will have to try it to see for yourself what type of artifacts you might see since I haven't played around with that case in quite a while.

Is it not so much artifacts as it doesn't respect the transparancy on the background when animated.
