I dont't play flac files, but it seems that there have been some changes in the latest round of betas.

I'd make sure that I was using the latest sage beta and HD200 beta (both from 5/26/09) and try it again.

BTW, if that doesn't fix it, PLEASE file a bug report, and send the offending file to Sage, so they can fix it!!!

You can see from the beta bug list, that they do fix these kind of things.

You might also look to see if the file is corrupt, as some people on the dbpoweramp forums have seen this.

There has been problem with playing FLAC on HD100 for over a year. I have provided several samples to Sage but it is still happening (I am running about 2 months old beta though). The problem is connected with the embedded image, which causes Sage to crash. I can always fix it by removing the embedded image from the flac file and just leave the folder.jpg in place.

In my experience, there have been problems with playing flac since day one with the HD100 and they continue with the HD200. I've logged incidents with Sage about this, they are aware of problems, but haven't resolved them yet. I suppose music files aren't the priority now.

I haven't bothered to report this "bug" but does anyone know if Sage is working on embedded cue sheet support? I have all my albums as a single FLAC file and use cues to go between songs.

Are there any other problems that the one I am referring to? I create by flac files with EAC and modify tags with MP3Tag. As I mentioned, the only issue I am experiencing is that certain files crash the HD100 (green screnn) due to the embedded image. Once I remove the image from the files then they play just fine. Many other files even with the embedded image play just fine.

I retired my HD100 recently and have a HD200. Both of them would appear to lock up during a FF or RW within a song. Forwarding to the next song is hit or miss. Also if a playlist was long enough (usually a couple albums worth of music was "long enough") the unit would freeze. None of my flac files have embedded images. I haven't seen flac issues mentioned for any of the bug fixes on the firmware yet.

I can FF without any issues. I can't FF to the next song, but I always thought that is the problem of my Harmony remote buttons mapping rather than HD100 so I cannot comment on this, should probably research it more, since it is driving me crazy. I often play my entire collection (many thousands media files) without any issues and often create playlist with several tens of albumes without any issues.
