Mac Client + WHS Server + HD-PVR issues
I have been patiently trying to get this combo to work but to be honest nothing has been done to fix the issue I am having which is jerky video playback on files recorded with the HD-PVR. I can see imported AVI files nice and smooth, but ANY (SD/HD) content recorded by the HD-PVR comes across as if it has an intermittent tic. When I launch a video that I was previously viewing, the Mac client jumps to the bookmark and then jumps back to the start in 3-4 steps. If I use a Windows client all is well, even with placeshifter (on the LAN) but the Mac client + HD-PVR files have been very persistent and annoying. Clicking on the timeline to jump ahead sometimes causes the playback to blank out.
Playing the .ts files in VLC results in smooth playback.
Client is running on a Mac Pro 8-core 2.8GHz + 12 GB RAM + NV8800GT. Horsepower on the client is not an issue. OS is Leopard 10.5.7.
What can be done about this?
