Media SERVER vs. Media CENTER

I've been trying for the past 2 hours to setup my DVDs, stored on my WHS server, with SageTV. I have the paths correct and can select and play the movie, but no where do I see any options for trying to import IMDB, DVD profiler, or any other metadata information.

Is this feature exclusive to Media CENTER and not a part of the Media SERVER version of the software? Do I need both versions??

I scoured the menus of the HD200 and SageTV client on my other PC and could not find any reference to the ability to import any metadata regarding my DVDs.

Any advice?

If you want to stick with the stock STV you will need to download and import Nielm's IMDB customisation under the section 'Custom STV Import Modules for SageTV version 6'

If the error your getting is similar to this post http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...&postcount=363 you may have an old version installed or over written the nielm imdb jar. You could also try deleting the sub directory.

\SageTV\net\sf\sageplugins\sageimdb

not working also when i play a movie i cant stop it or go to the menu were you select the movie

I'm not resigned to using "stock" STV, but I see references all over the forums and web for the IMDB capability and DVD cover art, yet I don't see that it is a feature of the media server software at all.

Is it a feature in ANY of the stock STV products?

I don't think so.

I use the SageMC STV and it has IMDB integration built in. However, I think that if you want to use the stock STV, you have to install some plugins to get that feature.
