Strange behavior of 6.5.14 and Encrypted DVB-signals

I've come across a strange problem with encrypted DVB-channels and SageTV, both in 6.5.14 and 6.5.9. It started in 6.5.9 and therefore I thought an upgrade to 6.5.14 should do the trick.

What I've experienced is that sometimes when I tune to an encrypted channel I get "no signal" but if I switch to another encrypted channel I get picture and sound sometimes and sometimes not. What I've noticed is that when I get the "no signal" error I don't get the EPG-information displayed.

I'm using SageTV 6.5.14 with 3x FireDTV-T and 1x FireDTV-C.
Default UI, Plugins: FineArt and webencoder. I'm using XMLTV with LM Ingestion for EPG-service. It has worked perfectly before, I even tested to update java without any luck. So I'm running the latest java (13). Right now the system is instable, I can't trust it to do recordings etc..

I was about to reply saying that my WHS installation with the same beta was working fine - because it did, at least last night. And then I realized that I actually had the same problem, although a little worse. Not even the German FTA DVB-S channels tuned. "No signal" everywhere.

I decided to revert to 6.5.13 that I had been running without any issues like this for a while. Quick test after the downgrade showed that things where back to normal.

OK, good to know that somebody else has problems with DVB.
I just installed my FireDTV CI/C and I only got the encrypted channels to work sporadic(1/10 times). Also when I do a channel scan it miss some channels 3 out of 4 tries.
I suspect that the DVB-C support is borken. The encrypted channels work perfectly in other programs like DVBViewer etc.

My problem is that my DVB-T channels works perfectly now and I have 3 DVB-T receivers, I don't want to start mess with them again...

Can somebody confirm that the DVB-C (encrypted channels) support is broken in 6.5.14?

A support request to SageTV/Qian may provide us with some light.

I recently upgraded my server hardware and I haven't yet configured by DVB-S devices. I will have a go tonight to see if I get similar results for DVB-S.

A support request is already sent to Sage. However, last night and today I've bee debugging it myself and Got it to work after some modifications.
What I needed to to was to change physical channel on every channel (150) since they came up with networkid-tsid-sid-channelnumer, I changed that to just channelnumber and vola, I got picture. However, my cable provider also has a couple of channels that needs chipset pairing (CONAX) if I try to watch one of those channels then my signal disappear on all encoded channels, a reboot helps. So there is something with physical channel and chipset pairing that causes the problem

I don't think I'm going to try any tricks or workarounds. Only problem with the 6.5.13 is that I have to restart the SageTV service on WHS 1-2 times a week (otherwise it will come to a stop anyway). Can't see that issue is handled in 6.5.14, and 6.5.15 is more or less about subtitles fixes that does not help me a lot since DVB subs are not yet addressed. So I think I better keep to the 6.5.13 until Nippe's request is solved.
