Media Extender Conversion Quality
The SageTV Manual states:
"Choose whether to use Standard or High quality when video needs to be transcoded for playback on a Media Extender. Standard is SVCD quality, while High is DVD quality." Is this correct, that the new SageTV HD Theater doesn't receive and play HD content? What good is the HDMI port?? F

The key phrase there is "when video needs to be transcoded". Most video doesn't need to be transcoded for the SageTV HD media extenders; this option was added back when the Hauppauge MVP was the only media extender & that needed transcoding for most formats other than mpeg2, since it couldn't play as many formats natively.
