Awesome on CC support but timing seem to be off a little bit
Great job on the Closed Caption support ...
You made everyone in the Deaf Commuities happy! Cheers! But the Closed Caption timing seem to be off maybe 2-3 seconds late/delay on the NTSC. It easy for me to confirm the delay by turning on the build in Closed Caption on the DirectTV box and see how it comes up first the then 2-3 second later the SageTV Closed Caption comes up. Bill

So you're running SageTV side-by-side with a DirectTV box to compare?
If there is truly a delay you need to submit a beta report on it |

Yes I am running it side by side but I don't think the fault lies with SageTV anymore ...
I did some more testing today bypassing SageTV box and just hook up DirectTV direct to the TV. It seem it the DirectTV that is delaying the Closed Caption between their own built in Caption and the closed caption output from it video composite. So SageTV is probably not to be blame for the delay afterall ... The delay is more 1 second sometime 2 second so it not that real noticeable unless you have both closed caption turn on. Thank you again for adding Closed Caption support!!!! Bill

Does enabling it affect the frame rate of your HD content? I noticed that with some videos on my system, but since a Geforce 8300 is kind of barely cutting it when it comes to HD support I don't think that anything can be done about it. I'm actually thinking about getting a 780g mainboard, or trying to find a silent 9600GT which handled the captions better.
