Help with Dual WinTV-HVR-1950 Setup
Have two WinTV-HVR-1950 USB tuners running the latest SageTV software and latest tuner drivers on a Windows XP box. Sage recognized the two tuners, I am able to configure and specify that the tuner's blaster will be used to change channels. I can control Sage with the supplied 45 button remote so the drivers are loaded, and I can see live TV thru the tuners but I cannot change TV channels with the blaster. I ran the IR config utility and went thru all the codes and it did not turn the box on and/or off (Sat set-top box). I have verified that everything is connected properly and the IR blaster software is properly installed. What can I do next? Thanks.

O.K. here is something I did not knew about WinTV-HVR-1950 USB tuners: Only onr IR blaster works in a dual HVR config! Only one works because nothing in the driver / software allows you to specify which IR bug to use, so it assumes only one exists! that's sucks!

Yes-that is the case with every Hauppauge device. The IR software can only support one IR on one of the multiple tuners in/attached to a single PC. Most people who IR will go with a USB-UIRT which can support up to 3 zones to control. (3 set top boxes)

Thanks for your reply. I will try the LM remote/MCE blaster route and post results. Hauppauge should fix these issues!

LM Remote software paired up with the MCE blaster and remote did the trick. Both STB are changing from the MCE remote. Now one HVR-1950 shows video and no audio on the extender! The other one shows video/audio ok in the other extender! What the fu#@*!

After spending almost 2 hours reinstalling Sage, HVR's-1950 drivers, LM Remote Software, etc., I booted SAgeTV on the server and got the same results. Then came the embarassing question: Does the volume is up on all STB's? OOOOPS! One of the STB volume level was all the way down! So, in summary (and embarrased like hell!), both HVR's-1950 are working fine, the HD-200 are getting video and audio fine, kids have their faith back in me, and the WAF is going up! Thanks for everyone who chipped in to fix this issue. One thing I learned with Hauppauge tuners: The IR blaster works only for one card. For multiple Hauppauge tuners, have to use either a UIRT or the MCE remote kit paired up with LM Remote.
