SageTV Client license question...
I don't want to simultaneously play back content from two locations, but want to watch from one of two locations.
My wife watches on her computer in the kitchen during the day, but sometimes at night while laying in bed, we want to watch a recording or adjust the recording schedule in the evenings from my laptop. I don't yet have a SageTV extender on the TV in the bedroom. Does the license allow for this? My trial license is expiring in 2 days so I want to know what I need to do. Thanks! No, the client license for 1 system at a time. You can move the license but that would require a restart of you server.
The placeshifter license is a floating license and can be used from any system as long as only 1 system is using it at a time. This is what you want. You should look at the FAQ for the differences between the two. http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...290#post206290
