6.5.12 - Spinning circle lockup on extenders
This has happened to me a few times now (once on HD100 and once on HD200). Sage has been running for quite a while and for no apparent reason I get an endless spinning circle on the extenders and Sage locks up. I have to restart the service to get it out of this state. I never saw this before with previous versions. Anyone else see this?

I kept getting the nag message that a Java update is available but never installed it. I appear to be running update 7 (jre1.6.0_07) although update 4 seems to be there too. Do you think update 12 is necessary for the Beta? Thanks.

It's not necessary AFAIK. I think the recommended version is 10 and 13 is the latest. But you should go into control panel and uninstall any old versions you're not using. This alone has caused issues in the past. (Make sure all java apps and services are stopped before uninstalling old or installing any new verisons.)

No, but see 12 had a bad installer that would actually corrupt your java install so IF java 6u12 attempted to install this would cause all the spinning circles you are seeing. At this point, your only option is to uninstall all java versions and install 6u13 (or one of the other versions). I just decided to upgrade to 13 since it seemed to be working for others.
