I have a HDHomeRun for my HD duties, but it wouldn't hurt to get more HD tuners as well, while keeping the two analog tuners during this transition phase. It looks like Hauppauge agrees and they now have their WinTV-HVR-2250.
So... is it worth upgrading to the 2250 and replace my pair of 250's? Is the quality of the captured signal and/or MPEG2 compression any better. Does it still capture CC in analog mode? Or should I stick with my old 250's? I've read the HVR-1800 does not support CC, but not sure about the 2250.

I can't speak to the CC capture. I think someone else will have to speak to that, but otherwise it's a great card. I had some problems with an earlier beta, but supposedly the current Beta (haven't tried them yet) and the official drivers work great.
Edit: My one complaint is that it only has one coax input unlike the HDHomerun so this forces you to use either OTA or QAM, but not both (like I do with my HDHomerun).
