HD200 no longer plays back from WHS server !!!HELP!!!

I have a HD200 I am using along with my Sage WHS server and a PC client as well. Today I tried playing back a recording of Criminal Minds, it was a .ts file from a HDPVR. It did not have any sound, I skipped through the file some to see if the sound came back during the show and it did not, so I deleted the file.

I tried to play some other recordings, some were .mpg files from a HDhomerun tuner, some were .ts from the HDpvr's. Now nothing will play on the extender, I get a sage.playbackexception error, it pops up twice.

I have tried rebooting the extender, the server, gone back to SageTV3.xml, deleted the client properties file on the server. Still no go. The same problem. It will not play MP3 music, or DVD's from the videos section either. I get the same error.

The PC based client works fine and will play all file types. So I am not sure where to look next.

I am at a loss to fix this. Can Anybody help?

How are you connected to audio? Turn up the volume either on that device (tv, receiver, etc.) or turn up the volume of the extender with the hd200 remote. You have audio on the PC client?

Thanks for the assistance. Yes the PC client works completely with no problems.

I solved the HD200 problem, by deleting the client properties file and power cycling the extender. One or the other did not work, it had to be both. Once both were done I was able to play all files again after reconfiguring the client.

When you say you power cycled the extender, did you turn it off and then back on, or did you actually unplug it? I've had your problem a couple of times, and just needed to physically unplug the unit to fix it.

I had to physically unplug the unit, that did not work either until I deleted the client.properties file on the server.

Hmmm... never happened to me, but thanks for sharing in case I ever run into the same problem

I had similar problem but it was becuase my wife sat on the Sage HD200 remote volume control (which was supposed to be put away)

It took me a while to figure out why I had no sound on anything from my extender becuase my Harmony 880 controls volume through my Yamaha receiver.

All I had to do was turn up the Sage HD-200 volume.
