HD Playback Exception on Server after installing HD200
As the title says, i'm now getting a Playback exception on my main SageTV server system after I installed my HD200.
The only thing I changed settings wise was enabling the Server features so the HD200 could access the system. I'm running Beta 6.5.9 and I let the HD200 update to the latest version. I can stream Live SD & HD to the 200 and I can playback pre-recorded SD & HD on the 200 without issue. On the main machine I can do Live and Pre-Recorded SD without issue, but I get a playback exception everytime I try to watch Live or Pre-Recorded HD content! Has anyone run into this before? Did I do something wrong? Is this an issue with the beta version i'm running? -Striker- |

So what tuner card are you using to capture HD? If the tuner you are using is the HD-PVR did you install Arcsoft TME or PowerDVD 8 so that you have a decoder that plays h.264 format? And did you add this decoder to the sageclient.properties file and set it to use Directshow for MP4 files in Detailed Setup?

I use an HD PVR for HD and two Sapphire Theater 550 cards for SD.
I have both Arcsoft TME and PowerDVD8 installed with the PowerDVD8 codec configured both through the SageUI and the Sage.Properties file. I also ensured I set the PowerDVD8 codec properties in the registry specifically for Sage. I played around with the system and after rebooting it once or twice the SD stopped working as well. I found that I can now get both SD and HD to playback if I use VMR9 instead of Overlay. I have tried to use VMR9 in the past but i've always had issues with jumpy video quality so I've stuck with Overlay. Now that Overlay is not an option I need to solve my VMR9 issues. I've made some adjustments to my driver and codec settings for the VMR9 decoding options but I getting varied results at best Does anyone know why I can't use Overlay? Why am I forced to use VMR9? -Striker- |
