SageTV vs. XBMC MediaStream UI?

Hallo all SageTV-users,

I have been evaluating SageTV a couple of times before, but have left it again because the UI was not to my taste and it's a bit more complicated to setup (playing ISO etc.).

But this time I'm a bit more serious.

At the moment I'm using XBMC with the MediaStream skin for playback only of my ripped media.

Now I'm considering investing in a TV-tuner (FireDTV DVB-T), and for recording, SageTV is the one that has given me the best impression (from reading reviews/forums).

As mentioned I'm currently using XBMC with the MediaStream skin. I really like the UI for TV-shows/Movies this skin offers.

Is it possible to get a likewise UI for SageTV? I have installed SageTV with SageMC as a Virtual box (Sun xVM) for testing.

My preferred setup would be a HD200 extender and a SageTV-server. I already have a HP P4 2.4 GHz 768MB RAM running as a FTP-server/torrent-server and an unRAID-system for all my data. From reading the HW requirements my P4 should be enough for running the SageTV-server (even recording of HD content).

The setup also needs to have a high WAF.

I've been exploring something more than the stock Sage UI, which is quite stale. That Mediastream UI is nice. You should post this over in the SageMC section. I think that's where you need to start. Maybe somewhere there has, or could do, something similar to that Mediastream UI.
