EPG Channels >31 Missing
Yesterday Sage correctly saw all 71 channels. Today the EPG only goes up to 31. I've remove the channel config twice . . .
Extended Basic Comcast cable in Vancouver, WA - 98662. Is this a digital TV switch over SNAFU? Thx AWS

Looks like Zap2It is where the problem lies; it's only showing up to channel 31. Ugh

I am missing channels >31 also. Comcast analog Portland, OR.
Tried forcing an EPG update, but it did not correct it. Eidt: I checked at zap2it.com and the listings are broken there too for our area. I also checked them for Comcast Cable in California (94550) and they look correct. Must be limited to our region. Last edited by amccrea; 03-06-2009 at 10:25 AM. |

It looks like this is not a mistake.
They are converting channels above 31 to digital and probably started by dropping the guide data. I was not notified probably because I have one digital set top box and so they don't consider me an analog customer anymore. I have been meaning to get IR blasters setup so I could switch to the digital boxes, but the analog has been working so well I wasn't in a hurry. Read this about the switch that was done in Eugene, OR last month, it mentions Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA in March: http://www.registerguard.com/csp/cms...4-41/story.csp |

Temp, quick fix is to tell Sage you're using Comcast digital and then only enable channels 2 - 71.

Thanks for the tip, reconfiguring for digital cable and deleting the extra channels seems to have worked for now. Have you got any official info on when/if they are going to cut off the analog channels?

No, sorry. I don't know about the cut over date.

I received a mailing from Comcast yesterday (live in Portland, OR). The switch-over date is May 13, 2009.
I had the same problem and doing exactly what was listed above, switching to the digital lineup and removing the extra 100 channels or so fixes it for now. |
