Moving to new server - Time to start clean?

I've been running Sage for years now, since the 1.4 days. I figure my Wiz.bin is cluttered with all of those years' worth of show metadata, watched/don't like data, etc. Not to mention all of the version upgrades and betas I've used over the years. I'm setting up a new server to replace my old one, and I've got to make a decision: To start fresh, or not?

If I don't copy over my Wiz.bin, I lose all of my "watched" history, as well as the metadata for the shows I currently have recorded. And, I'd have to set up my favorites again. But, I get to start over without that existing baggage and possible minor corruption.

What do you think - should I start over, or are the effects of 5 years of wear and tear on my old Wiz.bin nothing to worry about?

I've started over a couple of times and didn't really miss the saved history. I tend to only record 1st-Runs anyway.

The hard part for me: I had about 70 favorites some of which couldn't easily be re-added based on show titles because their titles aren't in the look-ahead or and now there's no show histories to scan through. I've found myself creating Title Keyword searches for those programs. If and when they come back, I'll set them up properly.

My view: I'm still using the original wiz.bin that was started when I first used SageTV back around Sept/Oct of 2003. I don't see a problem & would rather keep my viewing history instead of re-recording all those old shows I've already seen.
