I don't know anything about running it on an MCE machine or what that tuner is.

But, do you have the latest version of java installed? What is the error message?

Prior to building my current system I had SageTV running on an HP system with MCE 2004. However I was uisng a Hauppague 250 as the tuner card. Never had a problem running one or the other.

MCE takes control of the Tuner in your PC, that may very well be the problem. If you add another tuner that MCE doesn't control (or reinstall and NOT give MCE access to your tuner device), it should work fine in Sage.
