More than one HVR-2250 = no love

Greets again.

In order to reduce cable clutter and optimize my PCI-E x1 slots, I thought I'd swap out my tuners for 3 Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuners. After checking with Happauge tech support that there shouldn't be any problem running multiple tuners in the same machine, I went ahead and purchased them.

Well, even though SageTV sees the sources ok (WinTV-7164, #2, #3, #4), if I have more than one card in the system, it can't find any channels (so I can't even set up the second one).

I expect that the SageTV software is "confused" about which tuner it is using/tuning or whatever.

AFAIK, I am using the latest SageTV build 6.5.9 (release) and the beta Happauge HVR-2250 drivers (I haven't had a chance to go back to the older release drivers).

With one card installed (dual tuner), I can watch analog cable, QAM cable or OTA HD just fine (running setup 3 times to test the separate signals).

Any idea, or will this require a SageTV fix?

Thanks!

Joe

Edit: I should mention I'm running XP SP3 on an ECS 780G motherboard, Phenom 9150e and 4GB of DDR2.

Duh!

Ok, I'm a dork. I thought I had tried this, but apparently not.

I put Windows Vista Ultimate on another hard drive to try and see if things worked ok. It helped me to figure out that Windows, for some reason, in both XP and Vista, was moving the original Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuner 1 and 2 to be 3 and 4 when the 2nd card was added. So, the correct signal wasn't getting tuned.

Two cards (4 tuners), one set to analog cable and the other to OTA HD work fine.

Now to add the third card.
