Webcam feed?
Is there any (relatively) easy way to get a webcam feed into Sage? Either on the server or from a different machine? (I'm guessing that one hooked to the server would be easier)

I too would like to know.
I have ones that do Java or ActiveX for full motion. Most webcams will also take a URL that returns a html page containing a still photo - jpeg |

Bump - is there any easy way of doing this? Does webfeedencoder allow you to do this?

For a while I was using SGraphRecorder to feed web cam video to SageTV. You can get it here: http://www.nolberger.se/Sage/GraphRecorder/
The file download is at the bottom of the page. Above the download link is another link that describes how to set up SGraphRecorder to work with a web cam.

Thanks - I will try that and there is something else called webfeedencoder that appears to allow Sage to accept feeds from VLC. That should also work from webcams and anything else that can stream in VLC.

So far no luck but theoretically it should work and from any PC on your LAN, not just your Sage server, as long as you can get VLC to create a network stream. But that is the part that I am currently having issues with.

You could do a loop-back, similar to how people are doing netflix.
