Fonts garbled for V2

Fonts are garbled for the selections on the main screen for me. The text at the top of the screen is okay though. Attached is a screenshot. (Notice the nice large fonts from Winamp 5 in the background...)

Disable 3D Acceleration. Submit a bug report including your video hardware and driver versions.

Bleh. I posted this in the wrong forum. Moderators, please move it to the SageTV forum. (I wondered why there were no posts in the last 30 days!)

Knocking down the hardware accelerator slider a few notches in the control panel fixed it. Downgrading to Catalyst 3.1 didn't help, and neither did disabling write combining.

Once you can read the text on the SageTV screen, you can disable 3D acceleration in SageTV on the Advanced setup screen -- you don't have to turn off 3D acceleration in your driver.

I had exactly the same problem. I UPgraded my Radeon drivers to the latest version and it fixed everything. I have no clue what the current version of Catalyst is, so I'm not sure what you were downgrading from, but moving to the latest version worked for me. I never touched the 3D stuff.

Snoop--Did you upgrade to 4.3, which was released a day or two ago? Also, are you sure hardware acceleration isn't turned off in the Sage detailed setup?

Thanks!

This is very dependent on your exact video card model and also what MPEG2 decoder you are using. I see it come up much more with the Intervideo one.
