Cannot play mp4 audio files with AAC

I have set sagetv to use direcshow.
When I use graphedit and try to play mp4 audio file encoded with AAC, it plays fine and it uses ffdshow. When I use sagetv to play same file, it always tries to use powerdvd codec which cannot play AAC format. Does cyberlink support AAC? (I tried to play dirrectly from powerdvd and no sound) Why sage always tries to use cyberlink? Graphedit uses ffdshow? Is there a way to force sage to use different codec for audio encoded in AAC. Also, if i play videos that have AAC I dont hear anything? See attached for the log from sage when I try to play AAC.
Forgot to add that I output my sound through spdif, not sure if this makes any difference?

edit: I noticed that my powerdvd is oem version, and on their website the say that to support aac advanced pack must be installed

Add/change the following line in your sageclient.properties file:

videoframe/aac_audio_decoder_filter=ArcSoft Audio Decoder HD

Can you by any chance recall where these properties settings are documented?

The property setting was added with the 6.4.1 beta:

These properties will get created as media with a new format is played back.
But it is not documented really anywhere except in the forums by users (which sucks). Here's the post that started my tinkering with these properties: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33064

From what I can find in the forums (I still hate the forum search) you would want your line to read:

videoframe/aac_audio_decoder_filter=ffdshow Audio Decoder

I don't use ffdshow, so am not positive on that, nor do I even know if the ffdshow audio decoder supports AAC.

tried that but it did not work,
for some reason cyberlink always wins,
Could it be related to cyberlink mpeg splitter???
See attached log, there is some w32 error,

i figured it out,
I had to unregister cyber link audio filter by using the radlight,
and then I set ffdshow to play everything except h264

now only h264 videos are played through cyberlink
and rest uses ffdshow, and for mpeg2 i use nvidia,

thx
