Extender doesn't play all audio files PC plays?
I did some searches on here, in this forum, and didn't turn anything up.
I ripped several CD's in to windows media player in wma lossless format, and sage plays them fine on the PC console, but the extender doesn't play them at all. I figured if they worked on the PC, they'd work on the extender. Any tips on the best lossless format to use for both the PC console and the extenders? |

I've tried too, with no success. I haven't investigated a lot into it because Sage on so many other point lacks functionality for proper music playback. I'm affraid Sage is not in a hurry to make Sage a real media solution for other than video.
I would consider to buy a Squeezbox instead. see http://www.slimdevices.com/. That is a much better solution for high quality playback - and it play lossless formats too. Rtengvad

If there isn't a good lossless format supported by the extenders, I can just use mp3 or another format. I just figured it would be easiest to rip the cd's in a lossless format the first time.

I don't think the MVP can playback any audio format except MP3 natively so not really a Sage problem. This might be able to be transcoded - don't know - but then you wouldn't have a lossless playback anyway.

that would be ok with me, I would just prefer to rip lossless to the PC the first time. This would be more about having my PC contain lossess versions of the files, rather than requiring lossless playback on my fantastic TV speakers
