Where do I find the version number of my Sage TV software? I have updated to 6.5.9 but when I still see 6.4 as the version on my tv using the HD200.

Thanks

The SageTV version is displayed in the "Main Menu/Setup/Help/System Information" page.

Ok thanks. I downloaded version 6.5.9 and installed it. Why does it say I still have 6.4.8.184?

Are you sure you installed into the same directory as your 6.4.8 setup? Maybe your desktop shortcut is pointing to an old version still on your disk.

That's what I thought so i double checked and then I uninstalled Sage TV from my computer and installed version 6.5.9. Now the computer shows the new version but the HD200 still shows 6.4 and it cannot find my Import Directories which have been selected.

Are you running the HD200 in standalone mode or connected to a SageTV server? I don't remember what version some of the older firmwares showed in standalone mode, but if you mean standalone mode, then you should check for a firmware update.

I don't know if it is standalone or connected to Sage TV server. I did do a firmware update. I going over the manual now and trying to figure out what server means. I have a basic setup with HD200 connected to my computer. I have opened up Sage TV Service Control. What should I be selecting?
Use Sage TV Service? Enable/Disable
Sage TV Service State? Start/Stop
Run Service as User? Local System/Change User
Enable Service Recovery?Check/No Check
Refresh?

The service control utillity just controls whether SageTV runs in service mode on your PC -- covered in chapter 2 of the large PDF that is installed with SageTV on your PC.

Server mode, to allow the extender to connect as an extender, is controlled in SageTV at Detailed Setup -> Server -> Media Extender and Placeshifter Server.

The HD200 is in standalone mode if it is not connected to a SageTV server (and its Main Menu is a 3x3 grid layout). It is in extender mode if connected to your SageTV server.

While connected to the server, use the Info command on the System Information screen to write SystemInfo.txt to your SageTV directory where sagetv.exe is located. You could post that info (may want to edit out the locator ID) so we could see what it lists.

Thanks I turned it off and connected to the server and now it works. Curious why my HD200 System Info still shows old version of STV.
