How do you make stop button actually stop

I know that when you press stop it does more of a pause than a full stop. I then have to press stop again to complete stop. Is there a setting that will give the results of the double stop button press with only one press of the stop button?

On my system, using the stock UI, pressing Stop stops playback immediately. No double-press is required. Are you perhaps using a different UI, or do you have some customization installed that modifies the Stop function?

Hrrmmf.. Maybe it is a function of SageMC (which I am using) rather than the stock STV. When I press stop it gives me options like "Resume, Restart, Delete, Save" and then "Press stop again to cacel playback and return to the Start menu." If I do not press stop again, Sage continues recording shows on this station where I would like it to just stop altogether.

Just disable the stop popup menu. You can also set it to automatically go back to the previous menu when you hit stop.

Settings >> SageMC >> Main >> Screen Specific Options >> OSD
